Original Kenner Belloq in Ceremonial Robe action figure with card

This is the VERY RARE Kenner Belloq in Ceremonial Robe action figures with card.

The "Belloq in Ceremonial Robe" figure was offered as a mail-in premium. The company also intended to release it for retail 'on card' with the second or third wave of characters… The line was discontinued, though, before that version of Belloq made it onto the market. However, there were a VERY LIMITED number of carded figures produced (perhaps fewer than 10 pieces) that were used as advance sales & marketing samples -- those are, in essence, the 'Holy Grail' relics that every Indy figure collector seeks…

The 3-3/4" premium-only action figure was issued in The Adventures of Indiana Jones in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" series, and has seven (7) points of articulation, along with a cloth 'soft goods' robe, ornamental chest plate, and ram head staff accessory. It portrays t he rival archaeologist, René Belloq -- Indy's arch nemesis -- as he appeared when working with the Nazis to opening the Ark of the Covenant …… moments before he meets with an 'explosive' end!
