Robots: From Movie to Toys opened at the Art Rock festival

The exhibition Robots: From Movies to Toys at Saint-Brieuc Museum during ArtRock Festival, June 3rd to June 9th 2014.

ScienceFictionArchives.com, in partnership with ArtRock Festival ( www.artrock.org),with support from La Grande RécréHasbro and Universal, is proud to present a selection from its collection of robots, created for some of the greatest science fiction films ever produced in Hollywood, as part of theRobots: From Movies to Toys exhibition

Visitors will discover the origins of robots and what differentiates them from early "automates", and be able to admire cyborgs and other droids from the most important science fiction movies like Robotrix from Metropolis to T-800 from Terminator. The question will be asked: Does Robots from the movies that inspired the manufacture of toys, or is it the reverse?

Following their consecration in the movies, robots have left the world of dream and fiction in order to get in our lives as action figures and toys. By providing a showcase of original movie props and collectible toys that have marked the history of cinema, Robots: des films aux jouets offers, in one room, an approach both entertaining and fun that will delight sci-fi fans but also adult and kids!
