Original Colonial Pilot Costume

Apollo and Starbuck are among the most famous pilots of the colonial fleet. These two fellows are pretty handsome with their pilot’s suits. The designs of these suits were made to catch attention but not to show that they are very functional. It’s also one of the reason why many of the fans have keep them in their minds.

Jean-Pierre Dorléac is the designer in charge of the costumes for the entire series (22 episodes). He won many awards for his work on the show (the most famous is the Emmy Award in the category "Outstanding Costume Design for a Series" in 1979). The details of all the series’ costumes are very impressive for this kind of production.
The influences of Star Wars (1977) are very obvious. It was partially a choice of the production. They had hired some key members of the teams who have worked on Star Wars.
